Realizza prodotti handmade reinterpretando il concetto di accessorio tramite il riuso di materiali esistenti: corde ed elementi di assemblaggio industriale diventano collane e bracciali e vecchie cravatte vintage diventano fasce per capelli. Partendo dalla minuziosa ricerca dei materiali ed attraverso quel processo immediato che attribuisce nuovi volti a vecchi oggetti, nasce il progetto ‘Carlotta Scarabeo’. Un’idea basata sul riciclo ed il riuso degli elementi che ogni giorno ci circondano, poveri e di scarto, impreziositi con bottoni, minuterie e ganci. Elementi industriali in rame, sottoposti a trattamenti specifici chimici e industriali, quali graffiature e bagni galvanici, assemblati ad elementi in corda generano accessori eccentrici nel volume ma minimali nelle linee. Le collezioni di Carlotta Scarabeo sono composte da accessori concepiti come giocattoli colorati da indossare, personalizzabili nelle forme e nelle finiture. Ogni pezzo è realizzato a mano e quindi unico. Sebbene producibili in grandi quantità, ogni accessorio sarà sempre diverso dal suo simile. Realizes handmade products reinterpreting the classic idea of accessories through the re-use of existing materials: rope and industrial assembly elements become necklaces and bracelets and vintage ties become hair bands. Starting with the thorough research of materials and though the attribution of new forms and aesthetic values, the project “Carlotta Scarabeo” is born. An idea based on the recycle and reuse of the elements that surround us everyday, poor and discarted materials, emriched with buttons, tiny gracious parts and hooks. Industrial elements in copper, subjected to chemical and industrial treatments, such as scratches and galvanic baths, are assembled with rope elements to generate accessories eccentric in the volume but minimal in form. The accessories of Carlotta Scarabeo collection have a strong personality, they are generated as colorful toys to wear, customizable in the shape and finishing. Each piece is hand-made and in this way, unique. Although producible in large quantities, every accessory will always be slightly different from his similar. Carlotta Scarabeo’s bijoux collection enhance the concept of jewel, not intended as precious object but as an unique detail realized with elements of daily re-use.”
